Auditions Process
The Audition Process
1. Schedule Your Audition Time(s)
Auditions will be held December 8-10. Those interested in auditioning will need to sign up for a 10-minute audition time. A maximum of 3 people will be scheduled for each 10-minute time slot.
PLEASE NOTE: We are auditioning for ACT II’s Cinderella AND Academy Players’ Willy Wonka Jr. at the same time. With one audition, students will be considered for either or both shows. (In your audition form, you’ll choose if you’re interested in Cinderella only or both shows.
2. Complete the Audition Form
The student AND a PARENT need to complete the Audition Form TOGETHER. Once submitted, PRINT IT OUT, and bring it to your audition!
3. Your Audition
Please bring a resume, a recent photo of you (preferably an 8×10), and your printed audition form to your audition.
- Your photo doesn’t need to be professionally done. You can take a photo on your phone and have it printed at Walmart.
- Your photo MUST be current. With so many auditions, the director needs to recognize your face when reviewing them, so it needs to look like you do now.
- If you’re auditioning for both Cinderella and Willy Wonka Jr, you’ll need to bring both audition forms and TWO photos. A different person directs each show, so each one director a photo.
Please prepare a 1-minute monologue of your choice, as well as a cut of a song no more than 1 minute long. See the “Audition Materials” page for more information.
4. Audition Results & Callbacks
All students who audition will receive an email by December 13th, letting them know if they are called back for a second audition or not.
Dance callbacks will be held on Tuesday, December 16th. All students called back will be expected to attend the dance call. Callbacks for acting and singing roles will take place on December 17th and 18th.
