At Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II), stories leap from the pages of beloved literature onto the stage in uplifting, professional-quality productions that inspire audiences of every age.
We are a nonprofit community theatre serving Colorado Springs, Colorado, and dedicated to nurturing young performers, enriching local schools, and making the transformative power of live theatre accessible to all — especially children who may not otherwise experience the arts.
Through joyful performances at the Ent Center for the Arts, ACT II brings families, theatre lovers, educators, and community supporters together to celebrate creativity, character, and the shared magic of storytelling.

ACT II: Where Stories Come Alive
All of our plays are based on literature so that schoolchildren can read the book and learn from it at school, then attend our show and watch the book come alive on stage. Schoolchildren and families attending our shows laugh and cheer as they are immersed in the story.
What's News At ACT II?
There is so much excitement ahead at Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II), and we cannot wait to share this upcoming season with our wonderful community! This November 12–16, 2026, our talented young performers will bring the beloved story of Anastasia: The Musical Youth Edition to life at the Ent Center for the Arts in a breathtaking production filled with adventure, heart, and unforgettable music. Then, in the spring, join us April 15–19, 2027, as we step into the whimsical world of Seussical Theatre for Young Audiences — a joyful celebration of imagination, friendship, and the timeless stories of Dr. Seuss. We are incredibly grateful for the families, schools, patrons, and supporters who make these meaningful theatre experiences possible, and we look forward to welcoming audiences of all ages to another inspiring season of storytelling and community.
