Auditions for our highly anticipated spring production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella – Youth Edition will take place December 8-10. Performances will be held at the Ent Center for the Arts from April 14-19.
A much-loved folktale with countless retellings throughout the years, Cinderella is the story of a young woman’s magical rise from hardship and loneliness to wealth, power, and true love. Popular musical theatre writing duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II created their own version of the Cinderella story, and it remains one of the all-time greatest interpretations, much to the long-lasting delight of musical theatre fans. The triumphant story combined with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s wonderful script and beautiful, beguiling tunes secure its status as a favorite on stage across the world.

Cast of Characters
Cinderella – A kind and hopeful young woman who dreams of a better life beyond her chores.
Prince – A charming and noble young man searching for true love.
Stepmother – A proud, cold woman who values status and wealth above all.
Joy – One of Cinderella’s stepsisters, loud and silly but full of confidence.
Portia – The other stepsister, dramatic and clumsy yet eager for attention.
Godmother – A magical, caring figure who helps Cinderella believe in herself.
King – The warm-hearted but impatient ruler who wants his son to marry.
Queen – The gentle and elegant mother who guides her son with grace.
Herald – The royal messenger who announces the Prince’s important news.

Ensemble: Includes Townspeople, Ball Guests, Maidens, Palace Staff, Mice, Horses, and more! (Ensemble may be cast in multiple roles to increase stage time.)
